Hi i woundered if anyone could help me. I have a member of staff at my setting who has a problem with her personal hygiene. She smells very unpleasant and a few of my members of staff have complained to me about it. Does anyoune have any advice for me and how i go about the problem?

Hi I'm a new member and finding working my way around the forum a little difficult - I just hope this works! Im an NQT and teaching in a reception class. Our present topic is night and day and Im running out of ideas for activities and stories - any ideas would be gratefully accepted! Help!! I have received a letter today to say that our school has been chosen for a full moderation regarding the foundation stage profiles!! Now i am in panic mode. Can anyone help me, by sharing how they record evidence / prove the different scales. I feel really nervous and would appreciate any advice. How do other people assess their foundation stage children. I have 29 reception aged children. Looking forward to some responses Jo

Hi again,now i have found this website there will be no stopping me now.What do any of you think about what influences childhood development.Is it nature or nurture or perhaps both.I myself think that although environment obviously plays a part it is nuture that enables a child to help reach it's potential.Love to hear your views. louise

we have ofsted in 2 weeks time and i am after some fantastic ideas/activities for teaching the children (reception) about 2D shapes. Also we are doing the sound e, i am looking at harry's elephant and elmer any ideas to go with these? Would appreciate your help as i am an NQT facing ofsted after on 6 weeks at work!!

Help, We are a foundation unit and are looking at our records for assessment. We use a variety of observation strategies and records and feel okay about these but we want something to collate the info on to before we input it onto the profile as we have nursery and reception children integrated. We don't want to have 2 different systems going on using the stepping stones and the profile levels as it is just daft and duplicating work. Any ideas? I don't feel that just putting them straight on to the computer is going to work. Has anyone used the Sound learning progress records? They look okay but I wonder if there is two much paper and it's based on the stepping s…

hello what a great site! i have just been made foundation manager at my school and told that i can do as i wish not as nice as it sounds. I have 16 reception children and 12 nursery age chidren with another 16 nursery children to start in January. i also have to manage 4 staff as well.How cam i emsure all parties get what they are entitled to?
