I am interested in how children centres are promoting their local childminders and how local childminders are working and supporting the children centre? Do you have a Childminding Development Officer working closely within the centre to promote Childminders services? If so what are the benefits or the barriers to doing so. How does your website promote childminders, particularly Network Childminders who could work with outreach and Health Visitors to support local parents and teenage parents? Very interested to see what centres currently offer and if so what is working or not working.

Can anyone tell me whether kiwi fruits should not be given to the under fives. I have been on The food standard agency site which says that they can possibly be quite dangerous for children with known allergies, does anyone provide these fruits at their setting.

I have recently been speaking to my teacher cousin in Australia. At his high school (not sure if it's nation or state wide though) all caffeinated beverages are banned!! No coffee, tea, cola, iced coffee. That includes the staff room. It's about setting good examples for the children. Discuss. Honey

Hi, I wonder if anyone has experiences a similar case and could suggest any 'solutions'... I work in pre-school and I have a child who is nearly 4, extremely bright, aritculate and enthusiastic.... our problem is that she can't/won't sit down for more than about 30 seconds at a time! This isn't a concentration issue because she maintains eye conact, answers questions, contributes to discussions all beatifully, doesn't generally interrupt, listens and responds to others.... but all the while she is up and down, up and down, leaning over other children and it can be a bit problemattic to others. Each child has their own mat to sit on and we've tried having her…

Hi, We are currently looking to change our barked area and cover it with rubber mulch. Has anyone ever used this at their setting? According to a couple of websites it has a life time guarantee, any advice any of you have would be brilliant. Also if you have purchased it, is there any company you would recommend? Thanks

Hi, The Nursery I work at has a small outdoor garden, but due to planning restrictions the children are not allowed outside at certain times of the day Inside the nursery, we have a big sports hall which is under used (currently used for for bikes and physical games etc) I am thinking about developing the room into a indoor nursery garden (as I have heard of other nurseries doing this) I wondered if anyone else has come across anything similar? I would love any ideas, as to what you thin would be appropriate to include? Thank you
