What's In A Name?

Hi everyone, I am starting up a new setting in January which is part of a trust in a church. I am paid to manage and do all day to day activities, reporting to trustees at intervals. We shall be offering full daycare, all year round. Am I a nursery school, pre-school, nursery, day nursery? Does it really matter what I call the setting? It's all so confusing! Help! Lesley

I wonder if anyone can help.... I have a jpeg of my playgroup's logo but it isn't good enough to enlarge or upload to anything. Only good for letter heads but then it isn't that clear as it was hand drawn. Does anyone know of anywhere I can get it redesigned so it can be a proper computerised logo? For free of course! Does a level 1 count in ratios? I worked with a L1 and L2 today with 7 babies and for about 20 mins with just the L1. Obviously the 20 mins was way wrong and I'm not happy about it, I didnt go on my lunch because I couldnt in all conscience leave the L1 and L2 with the 7 children, but for the rest, where do I stand?

Talking About Death

One of my childrens fish died recently and since then she has been obssessed with death and has been telling her friends that they are going to died and their mum is going to die. Her mum has approached me about how to deal with this, she has tried talking about it and has tried reading the story Goodbye Mog. As a new person to the preschool age group I'm at a loss at how to deal with this. PLEASE CAN I HAVE SOME ADVICE!!! HELP!!!
