Just wondering how much or how little planning everyone currently does? I am still on my search for the holy grail of planning formats, have tried sooooo many over the years. Anybody who has recently had an Ofsted, I would be interested to hear if they took any notice of the planning at all? Please can you share with me what you are all doing.

Hi, Can anyone clarify this..... It is recommended that all early years staff have a DBS which is linked to the up date service. As several staff have just got the standard DBS. Thanks B)

I have a group of children (mostly boys) who have suddenly shown a real interest in imaginative role play games. We do not have a role play area as such, I move the home corner in and out as required, we currently have a den in response to observing them wanting to hide under tables the whole time. I would like to go with the idea of a deconstructed role play area and prop boxes. If you do this, please can you give me some ideas of how and what you use to resource this. Many thanks.

We are a small pre school governor run and loosing money.We are very rural which is the problem,I have gone from 4 staff now they want me to run on two and ditch the 2 year olds.Has anybody run on two staff?:(

Ofsted have launched a Facebook page to help childminders with the registration process. The page, designed to help childminders navigate the application and registration procedures, has been launched as a 3 month trial. Does anyone have a pictorial recipe for individual fairy cakes? I am making them tomorrow and would like to see if the older children can follow the instructions. Am bring very lazy and hoping someone can save me the time of making one! I will keep my fingers crossed. I would smile but do not know where my faces have gone!!
