This means that babies are now crawling around in amongst more boisterous toddlers and preschoolers. Can you tell me if there are lots of Oxfordshire settings doing this ? and if so , is it a good move? She seemed very concerned for her son who is of preschool age and despite having no objection to him being with babies in principal, She is concerned that hi…

Hi Does anyone know where I can buy some large window stickers which would be good for pre-school aged children? Either permanent or the re-positional ones would be good. Thanks in advance

I have two interviews this week at my current work place. My current job is working part time as a nursery practioner. I am going for a full time post and a team leader post. I have been doing my job for 3 years and love it, i have never been good at interviews and its really worrying me. I know my job and love it but really worried about being put on the spot and not being able to answer a question. Any ideas one what i am likely to be asked.

Hi, I am an NQT - very new to EYFS! I understand that the 'ELGs' are used to inform planning - but I'm not sure if its just me with a lack of imagination - for topics to use as a base for my planning!! I'm also struggling with the 'Flexible Delivery' thats been brought in - not sure how to ensure that some children don't repeat the same work or that others miss it altogether! There's just me and a TA with up to 25 children!!!! Thanks

We have been given permission to use a piece of land beside our garden and we are looking at putting in a walk-in sand pit. There is plenty of room for this. I have looked at previous posts about outdoor areas but I can't find details of how far to dig down and what sort of things are available. I know you can get large wooden sand boxes to place in the hole but wondered if anyone has ever done this before to give me some hints on the best way forward. Thanks.

Hi, I am a newbie and am so glad to find this Forum, I will be starting my first Pre-School Leader position next week and although v excited I am having last minute nerves . I have 6 years Pre-School experience and my Foundation Degree in EY but unfortunately never been allowed much involvement in planning/ decision making etc in my former setting, the Leader preferred to keep everything to herself with information given on a 'need to know basis' . I am brimming with ideas etc but don't want to upset the current staff or start on the wrong foot...... help
