Hi I am about to do 3 days of home visits and normally in the past I have taken an 'All About Me,' booklet to leave with the parents to bring on their first day of nursery to put in profile, cant seem to find one I had, does anyone have one to share or know where there may be one?? cheers

I was wondering if anyone has nursery voucher experience?!!!! Our nursery is LA in the mornings and then offers wraparound care after that. I bumped into one of my Mums in town who said that through work, her husband had been offered nursery vouchers......... she wants her daughter to use them to pay for the private afternoon provision. We have only run the private part of the nursery provision for a year and in that time have not been approached by anyone with vouchers. I told her I would look into it once back at school (ie ring county!!) This morning I realised I should have asked on here....... would probably get better info on how user friendly t…

Hi all, We have a new little girl with little or no english whose own language is Malayalam. She's nearly four and has just started our state run nursery. I'm finding it very difficult to find any sites with translations for simple Nursery notices ie labels for objects, numbers, even a sign for toilet. Got lots of help for a little Polish boy whose also started this term but nothing for this language. Will be extremely grateful for anything thanks Rosie

Our nursery has only been open for about 18 months therefore the children leaving for school this year are our first to do so. This afternoon we held our "leaver's party". Parents were invited (obviously), we ordered graduation decorationd and table ware off t'internet, one of our NN's had baked a cake, we laid on a buffet. Got the parents all sitting down in the pre-school room, then brought the children in dressed in cap and gowns to the tune of "simply the best", plenty of oohhs and aahhs from the parents at this point!! A strange request and may have no answer. Has anyone ever had or used the ELC Sizzlin' Kitchen with preschool children? The ktichen we wanted is out of stock including the wearhouse (sp). I am trying the internet to see if the kitchen can be order if not I will have look again with only a few days left. Beth

I want to update our child information sheets we use for each child, this has information about contact numbers for emergency, name, address of child, DOB, people authorised to collect, religion, any medical conditions, food allergys. just a quick question, what do you do about staff members taking their key childrens profiles home to update them etc. ? it has been on my mind for a while about the risk of these documents being looked at etc while they are off the premisis. i have every faith in my staff looking after the paperwork and know they understand how important keeping them confidential is but wonder if there is anything anyone else does to safeguard themselves, i have just brought some folders for each staff member and stuck stickers all over them saying ' strictly private and confidential is this enough????!!!!!!!!!!!!
