Hi All I am cringing as I type this because I know I should know where to find what I am looking for but after trying on and off for the last couple of days I admit defeat and hope someone can point me in the right direction! I am looking for the poems about what children do all day! There were a couple of different ones I think but I know one of them ended with something like ' I knew you would ask me what I had done today so I quickly did a painting' Would be really grateful for any help

Advisory Teachers Assessment

Hi after a sleepless night I thought I would throw my problem over to the Forum to see what every one else thinks. Had a meeting yesterday to sign the register with the Borough, to access the Funding. We were told that because we are re-registering as we have moved buildings that we have been assessed on our quality and the Care Officer and Advisory Teacher have looked at our practice and have decided that our "quality" is not high enough and that they want us to be open for the first Term so we can show them that we have improved our quality. Bear in mind that they knew we had this new premises a month ago and they decided to have the meeting the Monday after!! we h…

sitting here on this lovely sunny day, trying to finish all my reports for Tuesday, when our new reception teacher is coming in to see us and she has asked for copies of them. Now, all well and good (yes, I have parents permission to share these with schools)...............but two of the children are causing me problems!! Whilst I want to be honest, one of them is a little devil, who is physically very big and winds the other children up and who has the concentration span on a gnat when he feels like it! Actually, he's very bright in many ways, but mum just doesn't listen to him so he acts up to get attention, and of course, in spite of our best efforts seems to believe he…

Just wondering.. cos I've heard a few diferent opinions lately. Do you ask parental permission to pass on a copy of their child's report or other information to their new setting/school/nursery? Do you have a meeting with the child's new teacher and are you allowed to discuss the children with them? Thanks for any replies. x

Children Being Collected Late!
by Guest- 12 replies

This is happening quite a bit at the moment.......there is a charge for late collection but it's not a large amount of money so I think parents choose to use it as an option!!!! I have searched on here because I know that this has been discussed before but can't find it......how much do you charge for late collection?? Today for example.....the session finished at 3.00pm a little boy was left waiting, I usually give the parents 15 mins anyway so after no show I rang the mobile number we had but no-one answered. Still waiting.......3.30 no show...have been calling the mobile during this time. Eventually Dad turns up at 3.50pm to collect his son...when I tell him h…
