Hello, do any of you out there have tv time at your preschool? Because we are full day care and our children do not have a sleep during the day we have tv time to give them a rest. Do the rest of you do this? We ave never had a problem with this until a parent questionned it today and seemed annoyed about it. This parent is one of those ones who complains about everything, but i still want to make sure we are not the only people doing this. Thanks

I received my copy of Nursery World today and with it was a leaflet with information and a booking form for a conference in London in March called "Implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage". I thought it would be interesting and that perhaps our local pre-school network could fund it and I would report back to all groups in the area at a meeting. I know you all love snow (except Rea) but my children are up and excited about the lovely white carpet outside! My youngest is dancing around the house singing Jingle Bells. Just imagine this is just one child, I have 30 in my class (with some very over the top boys ) and there are about 300 children in the school! Why couldn't it of snowed enough for the school to be closed

Using The Internet

Is anyone making much use of the internet in their setting. (As practitioners and from the point of view of the children). Do children go on the internet much? What do they go on? What about you? How serious would it be if you lost your internet connection? I'm thinking Nursery settings particularly - (from the perspective of someone considering the best sort of training to provide). Many thanks in advance. Dugh

Went out for dinner last night with an old friend. Partner stayed in with the kids, cooked them dinner, popcorn etc. So nice that he's so supportive but why can't men clean up afterwards!?Consumed a number of glasses of wine and am feeling delicate today. Promised the kids yersterday that we would go to Windsor for a walk, feed ducks etc. Have done my duty and dragged myself out! Had a Starbucks which helped alot Just got back and the house is still in a mess from last night, really need to get on with it but can't bring myself to start partner has now fallen asleep on the sofa, love him to pieces but sometimes drives me mad
