Hi all We have had a visit from some one employed by LEA to 're-vamp' the book corner etc... one of the things that she suggested was a new display trolley. What she would like is a front facing bookcase that folds up to a thin oblong and therefore is portable. She recommends one that has three 'shelves' and has the elastic strip on it (like you hang your net curtains from) to keep the books in . I have looked everywhere on line and can't find anything like it. I have found some wire wrack like ones but that's it. Any idea where we can get them??

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post or not, but I'm looking for on-line SEN training, but not sure which to trust? There's a 'diploma' on groupon, but it's not ratified by anyone else.. I'll post links to the different things I've found tomorrow, but as most of them are hundreds of pounds I'd love other people's advice about them! Lisa

Hello everyone. We are planning on taking the kids out on a day trip to london zoo next month, the problem however is that a parent has objected to paying a charge of £15 for her child, we are charging all the children £15, which includes the staff entrance fees. She is objecting on the grounds that the childcare fees she is paying for should include outings, and entrance to the zoo is free for under 2s, she is right about the entrance fee, but someone has to take the children, and the nursery cannot afford to pay for 8 staff, adult fee is about £15 each. She said if the nursery don't open she will deduct the day fee, she is the only one objecting. What do you do obo…

Hi all We are looking at getting a set of printed hi-vis vests for our children as we are hoping to do lots of local outings when we move to our new premises. Have any of you got any? How much did you pay? Where did you purchase them from? Thanks in advance

Hi all we are in a non pack away setting and since the introduction of two year olds we are finding that the morning routine is too chaotic. The children get bought in all together at 9.15 and their parents bring them to their key table. The parent signs them in on the table and the children do their planning on individual boards with photos.they then do a bit of mark making. Once everyone's in they move of to a mat for signing and show and tell. As you can imagine two year olds don't want to sit and do planning etc so end up wandering around whilst the key person is trying to keep an eye on them, console another child and talk to parents !! Any ideas on how we could chan…

Hi All We are looking at moving to different premises. We have been given an area outside to use but the ground at the moment is very uneven and not safe for the children. We have been told we can do anything we like to the area for the children to use. We are just wondering if anyone has any ideas on the best sort of flooring to use? We have looked online but have seen artificial grass, tarmac, safety surface, bark etc. so we are a bit unsure! We don't have a lot of money to spend on the area unfortunately but we are holding a fun day in June which will hopefully bring in some more! Thanks in advance

Hi all We are moving our preschool to new premises in september. We have always been in a room that is quite small (only 10 children). In this room we had a home corner, mark making area, role play, cosy corner, letters and sounds are, maths table, small world tuff tray and 2 other little tables. In the adjoining small room we had our construction area. The room we are moving to is at least double the size of our current one. I was just wondering what areas do you have out in your room each day? Any pics of your room layouts would be great too! Thanks in advance

Hello, Please can someone help me? I know this sounds ridiculous but I have spend hours and hours sat at my computer trying to add my children so I can start to use the on line journal facility. I am nearly in tears now. I have asked for help but the person that replied thinks I am accessing Tapestry from my app, I'm not, I signed in from the web site. All the screen shots look different to what I'm looking at, they all have butterflies on the top of the pages non of my pages have butterflies. I am using a trial for a couple of weeks but have not been able to do any learning journals. Thanks Helen
