Hi all we are looking at moving to a unit on an industrial park. However there is work that I can see that needs doing. I have looked at all the suitable premises stuff in EYFS. But I will be honest the committee are looking to me to say if Ofsted will find it suitable once the obvious has been done. I feel completely out of my depth really but is will be a BIG commitment so I don't want to get it wrong. Can anybody suggest any sites, information, links that could help us?

Help... Im getting to the end of my tether!!! I have a child who is 3 years old and we have been 'toilet training' for 5 months now. I have him 3 days a week. Every single day he wets or soils himself. Mum brings 1 set of clean clothes a day so Im ok for clothing him but sometimes he wets/soils himself more than once an then Im struggling on the school run. My house smells like a public toilet I've even bought pet odour remover but this doesnt help when he has sat on the sofa and wee'd. it just soaks all the way through the sofa. I remind him every half hour or so that he hasn't got a nappy on and ask him if he wants the toilet. He sat at the dinner table and…

Several of my team have loud voices and seem to be getting louder and louder. I'm not afraid of dealing with issues as they arise, but have been ignoring this one. I don't know how to approach it - what should I do? Thanks!

We have a few parents who have a very negative attitude to their children this year. One who puts down any achievement of their child (SEN so tiny steps but significant to him) and another who is constantly looking for something wrong with either her children or with everyone around her. In the past few months her son has had a possible heart defect, ADHD and now issues with his legs and feet which may need an operation. We see no issues with him at all except being very young and new to us. We are constantly trying to put forward a positive opinion but nothing seems to make much difference. Any ideas?

Yesterday a 4 year old fell over when jumping on the hopscotch As she fell a staff member quickly managed to catch her as she fell against the plastic edge of our pod. She did not bang her head hard, no bruise or mark. The worrying thing was that the child lost consciousness for about 10 seconds. Her head fell back eyes rolled then she wet herself. 2 staff members sat with her. She was coherent and she could get up and walk after a few minutes. There were no jerky movements. Her parents were called immediately and her dad came to collect her in 5 minutes. Parents signed the accident book. All of incident was recorded in detail for the parents to use as evidence when tal…
