I wonder if any one has a better way of reviewing their policies. Currently, we review all policies every year but finding time to do this at once is difficult hence some policies are getting delayed. Please help!

I have a child who hits, kicks etc he is having an awful time at home so totally understand why it is happening. I am working with his parents as best I can but it goes in one ear out the other. My problem is one of the children's parents he has hit/scratched is really angry and is coming into see me tomorrow am to discuss the matter. My question is what can I do? I have followed all the procedures but unfortunately this child is a product of what is happening to him. A one to one may help but as a charity run playgroup we have not the finance for that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

Could anyone help me with an Action Plan please. I currently have a notebook which I put EVERYTHING in that I need to do (a giant to-do list basically) and then tick things off as and when I do them. My development worker has advised that it isn't really 'formal enough' for Ofsted and that I need a more structured Action Plan, but then she didn't have one to show me, can anyone help with a format please. Many thanks

Hi I have a question .... does anyone let children attend ad hoc sessions, say for example a child who was staying at grandparents house now and then but not regular basis. If you do allow this do they just pay when they attend and how do you assess them as they dont attend on a regular basis. Many thanks Carol

One million families using Children's Centres as record numbers seek help in tough times National charity 4Children today publishes its Children’s Centre Census 2013. The Census is the only national annual survey of Children’s Centre activities and comes at a time of widespread concern over the impact of acute financial pressures on their accessibility in parts of the country. The new Census reveals that for the first time over a million families are benefitting from Children’s Centre services and that Centres are supporting two-thirds of all disadvantaged families with children under the age of five.
