An adviser from the local council has said we need to show the date of birth on the A4 sheet of paper that we use to collect the day's attendances. This information is transferred each day to computer where it can be reported on as necessary (including date of birth). However, I cannot believe it is actually an Ofsted requirement to show DOB on the paper used to collect the data. Is it?

We have the fleece lined Muddy puddles bib and brace trousers for our children, which are lovely. The waterproofs we have for the staff are just bog standard and not great. We quite fancy some lovely fleece lined ones as well!, does anyone know where we could buy these from?🙂

So need your advice, but I have a feeling I may know the answer! Can you have equipment made for you by a parent or partner? I have seen some fabulous equipment that costs a small fortune that I know could be made for a quarter of the price and on our small budget it is very tempting. Would this be a complete no go area as the equipment would not have a safety standard kite mark on it.

I was given an action to complete at a recent visit and being a complete technophobe I have no idea how to do it and wondered if anyone can help me. Due to the GDPR I need to set up a secure email account that all my committee members can use to share committee stuff! Any advice on how to do this would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance. 🙂

Can anyone tell me if there is any reason why children should not play with runner bean seeds? Want to use them in the tuff tray. Edited to say I have just looked them up and they may be poisonous if eaten. I am guessing it is best to steer well clear just in case?

Evening all, we attended our DSL update today and were asked what we do about informing parents about online safety. We don’t actually do anything but I would like to send out a link that they could look at. Does anyone do this and if so please could you share a link with me. Would be interested to hear what other groups do to address this. Thank you.

Hi has anyone used Noddle now e learning? We had a call from them and they sent a leaflet to us with all their training courses which look interesting. The plus point is you just pay a one off fee for unlimited access to all the courses for the year.

Good morning all, I have had a case of scarlet fever in the setting. I do know if you have two or more cases that you need to report it to PHE and Ofsted. As I have never had to so before and hedging my bets as the first case is a sibling that attends the setting so there could quite possibly be two or more cases; for those that have already had experience of this I have two questions please. 1. Is there a particular form to use to inform PHE and what is the best way to do this? 2. In the EYFS it states need to contact Ofsted if illness occurs. As SC is a notifiable illness I am assuming Ofsted need to be informed of this. However, it does not state in the…

Hi All It happens all the time at this time of year. Parents ask when is sports day, leavers etc. Doesn't help it's all planned too last minute! It's quite difficult for the manager to arrange these dates as children's attending various days (some 5 some only 1). At present parents are given a slip with a date and time but this still doesn't stop the questions and 'double checking' because his best friend is on another day... My daughter's school send text messages to remind parents of events. I was thinking this may be useful to us too (no online programs as I'm working with a team not great with technology). Can anyone suggest a system they use …

So when we return in September I have been told that I need to really analyse and break down into smaller groups the data that we get from our termly tracking sheets. So my question is, do I use where the children are now, as their starting point in September?
