Hello all. I have to revamp our booklet for parents as it is the one I inherited and looks very old fashioned now. Is there anyone out there kind enough to share examples of any booklets that they give to parents....about general things times, staff, clothes, etc thanks very much everyone.

Just looking for some clarity here. We are a mixed age room setting, with some children under 3 and some over 3, (with the proportion changing day on day and term to term). I know I know this but I've got all sorts of terms running round my head! In EYFS there are 4 themes underpinned by 4 principles. This is followed by the 4 commitments. Now under these come a number of phrases such as in 1.3 Keeping Safe, one of them is Making Choices. My question is do these have a name?? I'm trying to explain something to my staff and I feel the less "thingys" and whatsits" there are the better!

If you're interested in PSRN from children's perspective, you should enjoy Children Thinking Mathematically, recently published booklet by the DCSF - and written in response to Recommendation 4 of the 'Williams Maths Review'. You can download a copy here: http://nationalstrategies.standards.dcsf.gov.uk/fl33/maths and hard copies should be available soon.
