I am currently working in a early years setting. We have a 3 year old dispaying really strange behaviour they have been with us for a short time but it is conerning behaviour. The type of behaviour includes: gets frustrated when others help him repeats phrases several times wants toys that other children have has an awareness of hurting others because it doesn't like them displays angry and sometimes volent (sp) behaviour refuses food at the table but will eat if its a picnic when conentrating sticks tounge out and rolls eyes and head around. Do you any ideas what this could be? Thanks in advance. Beth

Hi guys, I'm after any tips people have. I have just started working with a 2 yr old with C.P. He has a walker but refuses to take steps with it so you need to move his feet. If you support his wieght under his arms he will happily walk without it. But I need to encourage him to do it for himself - any ideas!! Also general tips if you have any would be great. He is a lovely chap, full of fun and I want him to get as much as possible from his time with us. He has problems using his hands so if anyone has any advise on encouraging opening the fingers and using the hand that would be fab. Thanks in anticipation . Sal

Apparently his sleep patterns are a complete nightmare at home). During sessions he does exhibit lots 'unusual' behaviours (which we have fully documented) incl…

Hi there. At our staff meeting yesterday we spent ages discussing a little boy who has challenging behaviour. We came up with various strategies for an IEP but felt that one factor to consider is whether he may not be recognising the facial expressions of the children around him. Does anyone have any experience of this? Can you give us some pointers and info? Thanks
