Does anybody know of a good catalogue which has equipment for special needs, in particular feeding equipment-such as knives, forks and cups etc. Two of my staff are doing their NVQ level 3 and need examples. I have looked everywhere but can't find anything. Thanks Linda

Inclusive Nurseries

My vision for the future is for all children with special needs to be educated alongside mainstream children. I have only come across a few nurserys where inclusive practice is good practice, but these are still not fully inclusive. How hard do you think it would be to open a nursery where all staff are trained in special needs early education and the equipment is suitable for both mainstream children and those with special needs? Does anybody know of any settings where full inclusion has been successful?

His mother hopes for him to come to us full time in September (8.30am til 5pm), five days per week. I am trying to access training for the staff who will be working in the same room as him, so that they have a good understanding of the difficulties involved. This will hopefully mean they feel more supported. I will also try to access therapy support from various departments at the hospital, but this becomes hard when you're an Early Years setting, as they seem to be hesitant to commit funds too early…
