What would you do??? At our recent sports day I asked all parents present if they gave permission to allow photos/videos to be taken and all agreed. I did ask that any taken were for personal use only and if posting on social media to just put photos of their own child. I've just been on my Facebook and a parent has tagged me in a video of her daughter running but clearly shows all the other children and staff in the back ground ! What would you do ?? Ask her to take it down as it clearly shows everyone else or has she every right as it is her daughter running the race ?? Does anyone have a blanket " no photos/videos on social media policy" ?? Ours at the moment …

How does it stand if the committee repeatedly delay in completing the DBS check. I have been requesting completion for months now. They refuse to accept that I am the evidence checker and have disregarded my requests and insisted that I did not need to verify their ID. Eventually the penny dropped and after talking to Ofsted they realised they have completed part 2 of the three part process and ID is need to be verified. Who should this be reported too as I am at the end of my tether with it? committee minutes repeatedly state the information is required and has not been produced. Is this an Ofsted issue or charity commission or both?

Hi Does anyone use TMG's online service. I've registered as an organisation and have a pin number to sign in. I've read the instructions but have no idea what to do. I've managed to add a staff member but non-activated. What is the secret word that the employer should pass on to the applicant?

Would you consider or have you ever had staff with their children in the setting? (in settings with no separate rooms/ age groups) What was it like? What problems and opportunities did you encounter? I have staff applying for positions who are wonderful but I think I may set myself up for a long term nightmare or NOT?? Advise please! xx

Hi Everyone Well we have 3 new ipads and learning tapestry is going well. We have a couple of apps on the ipads for the children to use. (the broadband has all the parental controls). At the moment children that stay all day (6 hours) get to use for a little while in the afternoon. It is never long as their is always a queue waiting (they work out the order) and it is mostly monitored by a member of staff (don't want ipads broken etc) Staff have suggested we should get parent consent before children use, but that would mean 100% saying yes and they might have very different reasons for saying no. I have stayed away from computers etc in a preschool but no fee…

Feeling a little nervous as we have an EGM tonight for parents to vote on the proposal that I purchase the business. feedback so far has been positive but it now seems very real despite having been a wish of mine for a long time. It will go one of two ways, nobody turns up and we are unable to get a decision or fingers crossed it goes my way. Then the hard work will really start!!

We had a parent at our After School Club who fell out with the school and left without telling us they were going and without paying our bill and we have ended up taking her to court for the money. However, what upsets me is that there were child protection concerns about the children. When we spoke to the school we were told that, as they are now home schooled, there is absolutely no system in this area to keep an eye on them. The records are stored with the old school and they may have a visit every six months but nothing else. I think that is horrific and I can't imagine what life is now like for those children. I'm quite happy to believe home schooling could b…

Just wondered what you would do in this situation?? A 2 year old broke his leg over the weekend (not on our watch, thank goodness!) Mum wants him to come back in to nursery as soon as possible - he does 2 days, 8-6. What procedure should we follow? What do we legally have to do? What if, when we've had the re-integration meeting with mum, we feel we can't keep him safe at nursery? Just a general to see what your thoughts are... Thanks!
