Hi all, I'm going to be interviewing people soon and I'm rubbish at it! I plan to get the candidates to either talk me through an activity they may plan or I may give them it to write down beforehand and bring with them but can anyone suggest questions i should ask at the interview as well please? Thanks

Probably a 'how long is a piece of string' question, but has anyone submitted an EY2 application recently. It says there is a delay in processing due to maintenance, wondered how long 'a delay' might be.

A 3 year old child has moved to England from Italy last week and has asked to join our nursery. Would this child be entitled to 15 hours free under the fee3.

No doubt that you will have noted in the Chancellor's recent Budget that the Minimum Wage levels are to go up from April 2019. I'm interested to know what effect this will have on your provision. Is anyone going to have to increase rates of pay 'across the board'? Year 25 and over 21 to 24 18 to 20 Under 18 Apprentice April 2018 (current rate) £7.83 £7.38 £5.90 £4.20 £3.70 April 2019 £8.21 £7.70 £6.15 £4.35 £3.90

On my TDL today is to update my new committee members onto the SCR. The format we have is in Excel. I absolutely hate it and find it a complete pain. Curious as to what format others use? Also do you have to archive staff and committee members who are no longer in post on it, or would this go against GDPR. I have members on it in the archive section from years ago. any advice would be most welcomed.

I was just wondering if your part time staff members are a key person? I have a staff member who is in two days a week and was just wondering what other settings did with regards to this. Any advice would be greatly received

Hi all We have a dilema in the baby room, a parent wants their child to have a certain oat cereal. the cereal is healthy, has no junk, requires very little effort on the staffs part. But the ingediants (as always) says 'may contain nuts' We also have a baby in that room with a nut allergy with an epi pen. That child is off so can't gauge his mum's reaction on the matter till next week. If we were to eliminate this cereal then really we need an overhall of all foods bought or delivered to us as many packets do say that dreadded phrase. Or is that too exteme? Any thoughts?

Hi, I am wanting a main office phone and then I have two other rooms so wanting a phone in each of these rooms too but these are just to accept calls from office i.e. if a parent calls to see how Dotty is then I can put them through to Dotty's room for the staff to give them the run down as currently office staff go and ask then relay message but i think helping to build the key worker relationship with the parent and the value of what is relayed is better coming direct from staff in the room.. Do you have a system like this that's still on market? i have visited a nursery but theirs is obsolete now, from looking at BT their systems seem to be high end for us an…
