We are currently having awful problems with PHS Wastetechm they are by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with, they put their prices up with no warning (we have gone from £48 to almost £90) in the space of one month, they do not allow you to get out of your contract unless you write to them 3 months before the anniversary of your contract, but they dont tell you when that is and they have a different 'customer services rep' or 'account manager' everytime you call. We are taking legal advice so this post is two fold, firstly, please steer WELL CLEAR of any of the PHS ALLclear companies and secondly, if you are experiencing problems with them too, please let…

Hello everyone. I'm not sure if I'm being a little oversensitive so would like your opinions please...... I have been asking the committee for some time to look at a pay increase for staff, as it is 2 years since we had one. I feel this should be an agenda item annually, so that even if there is deemed to be no money for an increase, at least it is discussed. This is now scheduled to be discussed at the next committee meeting, however committee members have been asked to bring a friend to this particular meeting as we need new committee members, and I'm not really happy about my pay being discussed in front of just anyone. Anyone got some advice please. There are two children that attend our preschool who consistently have headlice. We do not check their hair, they have so many they are visible during play. we have spoken to parents (every week, now starting to be everyday they are here), given advice, leaflets, information etc. Parents say they are treating them everyday, tried various methods as well as bedcovers, siblings, parents etc but making no difference. Both these children are two years old. We are in the process of settling in a child who is from Iran. He cannot speak or understand any english, however his parents can. His family speak Farsi - Persian. Can anyone suggest any websites to translate Farsi to English so we can ease him into nursery gently. I have suggested to parents that they bring a family picture in and I am looking for some photo timetables etc? Any help welcomed

Hi quick question to all managers out there are you going to renew your CRB checks every three years now Ofsted not responsible for them? Obviously Ofsted did mine and I know from trying to get a copy to the uni when I trained that no-one else likes to do them when Ofsted are involved. I tried to get a new one and no-one would do it.
