Unfounded Allegations To Ofsted... 1 2

I am not sure where to post this , so apologies if it is incorrect. Has anyone else ever been the victim of anonymous complaints to Ofsted, accusing members of staff of allegations that even Ofsted don't believe ? We are currently in this position after being accused of numerous things (which i don't really want to go into detail at this stage) and also being accused of these things on several occasions over the last few months. It is absolute hell at work and staff at breaking point, with very little support from anywhere. :(

Hi does anyone have a nice letter I can send to parents. I am fed up with children coming in with coughs and colds who are clearly unwell. They dont want to be sociable and share or join in with activities so causing many behaviour issues. Now 3 staff are ill but having carry on. Parents are giving calpol in morning then this is wearing off at lunch time. one example parent rang to say kept off their child off, doctor given antibiotics prob be back tommorrow. How do you deal with it. buttercup

Hi Does anyone know that contact details for reclaiming the milk costs. We have been using one of the companies to 'do it for us' for the past free years but its the simple things like delivering milk that they cannot get right. I would rather buy it and reclaim but the old details I have don't seem to be correct now.

I have a child you needs to be assessed he has been with me for 3 terms, He is nearly 3 years old (very young I KNOW) when he has one to one attention he is a delight he interacts well with you - however when the attention turned away he will push , pinch, pull hair of other children throw everything on the floor make loud noises runs around ( could be any nearly 3 year old) however when I talk to him about the unkindness. He just says sorry and smiles. And does it again. I have spoken to mum and she has the same at home. Do I complete a referal form or a caf

I have had a member of staff speak to me on Monday (middle of session so busy!) saying she is a little bit behind with her keyperson paperwork but would ensure up to date for parents afternoon next week. Today receive a call from deputy (my day at college so not in), member of staff has broken down and admitted she is really behind!! Deputy has said there are no obs written up pictures everywhere with nothing stuck in!! Hold my hand up in saying I ask staff every week is everyone's paperwork ok does anyone need any help, but I don't physicaly check (too trusting!!). So staff have stayed and all taking a child and started working through it all for her, I do pay an hour…

Anyone else feel like whatever they do your setting will never be a shiny all singing all dancing type of setting due to monetary/commitee/opinion restraints? There are so many fantastic ideas on here and some of your settings sound fantastic! Ours is stuck in the dark ages and needs serious revamping but just suggesting using a different way of doing something causes big discussions, complaints about resource costs and becomes a "she read it on a forum" narky gossip amongst staff. I try to be enthusiastic and proactive in finding interesting new ways for the children to learn/explore their environment but it is just great ideas because noone but me is willing to try ou…

Can i just ask if any other pack away settings have problems with staff setting up and putting away, we are beginning to get alot of friction due to some staff members arriving 5 mins before the children are due in due to dropping their children at school, then racing off dead on 3pm to pick their children up, which means the same people are setting up and packing away every day....the staff members that are doing the setting up and packing away are very unhappy that the others aren't staying, does anyone else have problems like this........

My Early Years Advisor has been in to measure my setting and we are looking to increase numbers as we have the physical space and facilities to do this. I understand under the new EYFS we are able to do this without the whole process of paperwork to Ofsted and visits etc, as long as we can show we can justify this and have given it due regard, but does anybody know if we have to notify Ofsted - and how we go about this ?
