Hi, Advice please! I have an on-going issue with a parent whose son has challenging behaviour but she just thinks he is 'a busy boy'. Finally they agreed to an IEP. Things going much better since then. Thought all was well. But.... a parent helper (who has signed a confidentiality agreement so shouldn't have done this) has told her about 2 occasions where she felt I was 'un-necessarily harsh' with her son. One was a 'telling off' at carpet time. The other (which I vividly remember as it is the only time I have ever done it) was when he had to sit out of his playing for 2 minutes on a chair (part of his IEP) because he wasn't being kind to friends. Then (nightmare) I…

I'm currently updating Ofsted of the changes to my committee - however, nothing goes smoothly. one committee member is changing their role - do I therefore put them on the ey3 form as a leaver or joiner? I have more joiners than there are spaces on the form - any thoughts? Sorry, big headache so I'm needing help today to get through! Spiral

It isn't a safeguarding issue, more bringing the Pre-School into disrepute in a round about way (really hard to explain without going into too much detail!). So verbaly she was asked to leave the premises today by myself and I am now sitting looking at a blank peice of paper as I know I need to make this formal and in writing just don't know what to put!! Just feel everything's a mess at the moment and not sure where to start!! Can anyone help with how to word a letter to a suspended member of staff!! I have spoken …

Hi One of my staff recently completed the lengthy form that would have made her an official supervisor within the group. Ofsted have returned it saying the responsibilty for making a member of staff a supervisor is now down to me, the registered person. Which is great, but I wanted her to supervise in my (and my deputy's) absence, does anyone know if I can nominate any of my team to run a session in my absence providing I've done all the correct checks etc. Thanks

I may have a problem and would appreciate your help. I am manager of private after school club on school side. There were few incidences with council care taker when she is talking with her cleaning team and my staff about named one child’s behaviour, day at school and other confidential information. I recorded each one incident have staff meeting about confidentiality and attitude. Was trying to have a quiet world with her but she is just unpredictable, really hard to talk to and I feel fear when talk to her. Is that’s something I should talk with Head about?

I'm just wondering if any of you have a pre-school sports day? What sort of races do you have? And do you give out prizes, medals or certificates and who to - just the winners or to everyone?

I have searched previous posts as I'm sure this has been mentioned before but can't find anything! At present we have towel dispensers in the toilet but I am getting through hundreds of them a week!! Obviously we talk to the children about use but this makes no difference!! I know you can't use hand towels due to cross infection etc just wondered what everyone else used? Kris

However we rent a rooms off school and it is thought that head does not want us to open so that we are in support of those on strike. Im just not sure he can do this. Anyone else who uses rooms at school but is not run by the school been told anything?
