Probably Wrong Place Again

I have a child in the nursery who shows no emotion when he pinches faces, or arms. he is only two years and still very young for his age. It is not that the children are taking things from him, It is children who are kind to him and helping him adjust to nursery. He started with me in January so he has had nearly two terms to adjust. I have tried speacking with mum and very aware of the situation I have tried puppet intervention I have now started to sit him away with a practitioner Any other suggestions?????

Which would you say are relevant factors in determining hourly rate of pay out of Qualifications, Experience and Responsibilities of the role? I know I have asked a similar question recently but I'm still struggling to get to grips with this and would appreciate your thoughts. Many thanks Karen

Hi all wanted some advice really, although these seem strange questions need ammunition in the form of what other settings do! would be grateful for some comments on a few questions: How many times do you all call staff meetings? do you pay for this time? what sort of things do you cover and how long do they last? do you separate internal training and planning from staff meetings? I know these seem basic questions but really need to see if I am being unreasonable many thanks

Hi All We are a nursery (morning and afternoon) in a school where some children will be going up to Reception in September and some will be staying with us. I'd love to hold graduation ceremonies for the children who are leaving but I'm worried that the others will get upset because they're not getting a certificate/hat. Obviously they'll join in with the singing and we'll explain that it will be their turn next year etc. I was just wondering how other people manage this situation and if you've had any problems. Any advice greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi Our new manager at school club started Dec 2010. Sent off all her documentation ie references, health declaration etc etc and she has received her CRB back from OFSTED. When do we actually get notified if she is a suitable manager? They have not contacted her yet about a suitable person interview or anything else as yet. Do we just take it that she is suitable or do we have to have it written Either that or the last chair didnt keep the letter to say she is suitable Thanks
