Hi all Looking at trying to get the staff team to do an anonymous appraisal of the deputy and the manager so that we can get an overview how staff feel that they are doing. Was going to give them the appraisal form that we as committee use to appraise but seems a bit formal. Does anyone else do this? What questions could I ask? Thanks all

I've just received an email from ACAS asking me to subscribe to their email update service so they can inform me of new legislation or changes to regulations with regard to employment law, etc. The email urges me to share the information with anyone who might be interested. So if you'd like to get information from ACAS, click on this link which should take you to the registration page.

I work in a community hall where we share our space with many others. Our cupboards get moved around from one area to the other and destroyed eithers lumps taken out of sides or locks tampered with. I am looking for some wooden cupboards with doors that lock and very strong wheels and can hold a fair bit of stock. I have been open for 8 years and already had to purchase 4 cupboards to replace the ones I have. Does anyone know of a carpenter?????/ Twinkle

I operate a private day nursery and up to now we have always catered for children who have allergies, vegetarian or other special dietary requirements. Over the last six months we have numerous requests to provide an alternative to what is on the menu, both lunch and tea, because the parent says their child doesn't like that particular food. I will always look at providing an alternative Baby menu as that is different, but for our Toddlers and Pre-School it is just becoming to difficult to keep providing alternatives for children who don't have alergies etc. I would like to ask what is the policy at other settings around this. Would it be acceptable for insta…
