Hi all, I apologise if i've posted this in the wrong section. I'm hoping some of you may be able to help. Last year we bought two mobile sink units from the consortium. They have two containers underneath (one clean water and one waste water), and a pump action tap. The problem is the pumps have stopped working. The rest of the units are fine so I do not want to have to pay another £120 each when all they need is a tube with a pump tap on the end. I have looked everywhere and cannot find them anywhere or anything similar. I telephoned the Consortium who cant help, just suggested I buy two new sinks. Has anybody got these units? Hi all Well most of you know we are not having much luck recruiting. Did interview one young girl for playworker who was lovely but did not want manager job. Temp manager wants to go back down to deputy so one committee member suggested job share. Anyone heard of this? I suppose one would be responsible to OFSTED How would it work if they worked same shifts? Any ideas/recommendations? Clutching at straws!!??

Hello all, can you pls advise, what is your policy regarding parents waiting for tax credits to be assessed. students parents waiting for childcare grant to be paid, in the meantime bills is mounting up my fear is that money is pd directly to them and might disappear, or worse still bank gets there b/f you (overdraft), have tried asking them to pay a %, but still difficult. What do you do?

Hi all As committee member of out of school club we are looking for a manager. At the mo the deputy is temporary but due to personal issues does not want to carry on doing it. We have been advertsing for 3 months with not one applicant! How long can we carry on this way? I suppose we just keep advertising however have just spent over £700 on advertsing in the Nottingham Evening Post without a single show of interest. I think we can keep advertising on the job site website but other than that not sure what we can do. We are waiting and waiting with the staff getting annoyed/having to cover extra shifts, its a pain. Not sure what OFSTED would say to not having a manger f…

Hi all Just found out as committee member that normally only the mangaer and deputy and one playworker (out of schiool club) has a contract. Is this legal? The other playwokers are employed on as and when needed basis whereas manager etc are employed for certain hours. The other playworkers just do the days they are able to/want to do. Really not sure about this but apparently this has been how it has been for years. They dont have to give notice when they leave! Any info appreciated

HI all Just a quickie..due to persoanl circumstances next week got 4 playworkers working, one lev 3 one lev 2 and 2 unqualified. However, only one got CRB! Others sent off and waiting!. We need to use two rooms ie classroom and outside or hall. Can i have 2 non crb staff tog so long as they are never alone with the children? Cant have all children 40 in one class! Damn the fact that CRBs take so long to come back. Advice please!

Hi, I have received info from Cool Milk, telling me that they can deal with all my milk claims. I won't have to go online to claim milk, etc. they say no paperwork for me !!! Sounds too good to be true. I asked whether my local milkman would still be involved and they said he would be - apparantly eveything is the same - same milk, same milkman, same dairy etc. it's just that there is no paperwork. !!! Does anyone use this company and is so, is it really hassle free? Sue J
