Hi everyone, just wondered if any of you clever inspiring people could help me with some brilliant (and easy!) ideas please. I'm not the most creative of people to begin with but do have a cupboard full of the usual sparkly exciting stuff that they love and usual art supplies. It only lasts 45mins and I have 11 children (and a helper thankfully). Can anyone set the ball rolling on our first weeks creation please? Ideally I'd like something they can take away at the end of the session. Any help will be greatly received as baby brain has officially kicked in n…

Just wondered if anyone has to pay for mandatory courses? We have been really lucky up until now ours have been free, but our Safeguarding children level 2 has all of a sudden become a paid course costing us £75 each and we have to send 2 people on it. Could this be the future do you think?

Tea, Coffee, Sugar - Who Pays? 1 2

I'm just after a quick straw poll on this if you don't mind. It's a long story and I won't bore you with the details, but basically it has come up as an issue that we are funding staff's tea, coffee, etc. and I'm not sure that this is right for us to do as a charity. Obviously we're not really meant to spend government funding on this. We're also asking parents to pay a voluntary contribution to snacks, so it seems wrong in principle to then use their fee money to buy stuff for staff. When I've worked in schools in the past, I've always had to provide my own drinks, including milk (they just use the kids' milk which I don't think really matters). However, so…
