Hi Everyone, This may seem like a silly question but I would be interested in the replies...... Our Baby Room is 12 places and at the moment the Nappy Changing Facilites are not in the same room (next door) as the Babies so this means when staff are changing nappies we are 1 member down. My question is how do other settings approach this? Do you have separate facilities or is your nappy changing area in the same room? Staff in the Baby Room have asked can the nappy changing area be brought into the room? Just wondered if we moved our air freshener and ensured that the blinds were shut, would this be enough privacy and there is also hygiene to cons…

Hi Everyone I discussed on the forum a little while ago, my 2 staff that are doing NVQ3's at the moment. I feel that the course has been far to quick and neither are ready to qualify next month. I have been incontact with the college re this and have spoken to their assessor. I have read one of their folders this weekend and I am shocked at the content. It refers all the way through to the national standards! No mention of the welfare requirements. I had a meeting with the college today, the member of staff had an old book! Hi All, Have been surfing around trying to find info. to make an appraisal form for Pre-school staff. When I was teaching our Performance Management reviews included the opportunity to set 3 targets. One was concerned with Personal Development, one with Pupil Progress and one with a Whole School Development priority. I think that was it-rusty memory. Does anyone do their's like this? Does anyone have a format that is presented in this way? Do you think it is possible to set a target linked to Pupil Progress in pre-school? Hi Need some advice with regards a child in our care that is starting school in September! I have posted a few times on here about this child, we did have concerns and a call was made to the SCB which I have documented and kept on file with reference numbers etc. Now my question is this child leaves us in July to start school (same school that our Pre-School is based in!), do I share the information with the school or not? Parents have split up and mum isn't very approachable (she has refused a home visit from the school!). Not sure where I stand with this, would it come under a need to know basis? Any advice please!!
