What is everyones view of this interactive tool on the CWDC website? I will do it but think the detail required is perhaps too in depth regarding individual staff. I hear one LEA has insisted on this being used or grant funding may be refused. I have issued the forms to my staff and putting in next week. It does say it should take 2 hours?????? Will let you know but think it will be an all day job. Apparently the local authorities can see it at any time.

Evening, Just wondering about this..... New pre-school setting, I am the leader and I have an Early years PGCE and have been deputy head of a school. All this seems to count for nothing in terms of the 'graduate leader fund' and I still have to do the EYPS as I don't have' baby experience' (despite with own children) in order to attract any funding to the setting that could lead them to be able to pay me at graduate status. Our setting is age 3-5. Okay, am happy to do it but it seems as we are only open in the mornings we don't qualify for the funding. And setting can't afford to release me to do the baby experience without the funding. The new staff consists…

How is everyone, hope you are all having a good "holiday" I've been mega busy having been told 2 weeks ago that my only other level 3 is leaving and won't be back in september so we've managed to advertise, hold interviews and successfully take on another member of staff. I've also enrolled to start my foundation degree in september along with changing almost everything from self registrations to buying new furniture lol. Anyway what I was wondering is if anyone has any examples of a temporary contract please? The lady we have taken on will be on a 1 month trial so I'm assuming we need a seperate contract rather than our usual "permanent" contract? if anyone h…

Have pay rises for staff on our agenda for tomorrow's committee meeting. Would anyone be willing to give me a feel as to how much we should offer to show our appreciation for everything they do? Also, do you get pay rises as a percentage of your wage or is some other formula used? Thanks.
