Can I ask if other settings pay for their staff to be trained in food hygiene via external courses or do you send core members of staff who then disseminate the training to other members of staff via in-house training? Thank you in advance!

I have only been open for 7 weeks and all new to using the portal to submit funding hours. I have two question that i'm hoping someone can answer. If a child has started late in the term, i.e 28th Feb, after headcount then i fill in the adjustment form. but there is a tick box saying 'present during census' do i leave this blank? Also if a child wants to start after adjustment cut off day i.e 6th March does that mean i wont get the funding for them? Any advice would be highly appreciated ::1a

Has everybody noticed that the claiming process for nursery milk has completely changed? Can now only claim for the milk you have bought and have receipts for. You have to set up a new login as well.

Hi all I wonder if anyone can help. I remember being told once by children, schools and families that it wasn't lawful to exclude a child of nursery age as they are not considered developmentally responsible for their behaviour. I remember at the time I was dealing with a very troubled little one and I made a post about it on here in 2010. I have looked but can't find this post to check what was actually said. I know nursery's do exclude children as a last resort and I am not saying they shouldn't however, making a fresh search on line to see if there is anything in legislation to back this up I cannot find anything. Does anyone have this anywhere?
