Sort of venting but also wanted to make sure I am doing the right thing and ask your advice! The situation is that we hand out registration forms to families in the area with children under 2 years, they fill them out (stating which days they want a place for their child) and pay a deposit, I then give them a receipt stating which days their child has a place on. All the forms were given to families in the area in January, but families already using the Pre-school had them 2 week earlier. The chairlady has never returned the forms for her daughter who will be 2 soon, but 5 other families have (along with a deposit) and we are now full for 2 year olds. She is ver…

Hi everyone, Next thursday I am interviewing six applicants for the role of a key person. I have checked the resources and cant find the interview questions, I was hoping somebody would have some ideas. The person who we appoint will have a key group of 12 children, they will receive 3 hours non contact time for assessing and will be responsible for group planning with the whole team and planning a small group activity for their key group each week. Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the PLA Employee Handbook which they now tell me has gone to be revised ? I only recently spotted that they had one and it is one of my never ending tasks to get one written for my setting. I saw this as the shortcut answer but typically I seem to have spotted it too late. They did say it would be available again but as when they revised the policies it doesn't seem to have a completion date! We have had a qualifications person to the setting and she has told us that for the sessional site of our setting (9.30-12.15 daily) we won't need an EYP - becuase it is sessional there is no deadline for us to have an EYP in situ? For the other site where the preschool section is 3-4 year olds, the sessions run all day for three days 9.30 - 3.00pm and she has said for this setting we will need an EYP by 2015.......I thought it was all PVI settings by 2015 regardless of sessional care or daycare? Any help?
