Hi I was wondering if anybody could recommend some good nursery management software? We are only a 22 place pre-school but with all the different attendance patterns I am finding the invoicing is taking me a long time. I use quickbooks to manage the book keeping side of things, and that does have an invoicing facility but haven't investigated further, does anybody use this for invoicing? Thanks

Deputy Managers Interview Tomorrow
by Guest- 20 replies

Hello, I was hoping some people could ive me some tips on a successful interview tomorrow?! I've applied for a deputy managers maternity leave position, as I felt this is the ideal opportunity to see if i would like to be in a managers position, as although I feel I could do the job, I wonder if i would miss the children too much. But anyway going back to the interview, does anyone have any tips? Should I take with me the learning journeys that i've been working on implementing? Also examples of planning etc??? I've not been set any assignment or anything like that so I'm feeling a bit lost...

In our LA we are strongly encouraged to have everything out at all times-sand,wet and dry inside and out, dough, paint on tables and easles, water inside and out etc etc.The problem I have is that we are a small setting with small rooms and it all feels too much and crowded. Please don't get the impression that I don't want choice for the children I do,but am I the only one to feel not every thing at once.I feel that the busyness of all the rooms is not calming on the one hand and never anything fresh and new.I'd love to read some research that supports my theory that we are assulting all the senses with an overload of 'stuff' Thanks

Just in case it hasn't been covered yet - from this week a new Health & Safety poster has been issued by the HSE. There's no major rush as there's a 5 year roll out period for it to be in place by law. But if you're anything like me you'll get yours now 'cos I'll have forgotton in 5 years time http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/books/lawposter.htm RR
