Does anyone have a document that I could take a look at which records staffs Continual Professional Development. The Graduate Leader Form is requesting copies of my CPD forms, which I don't really have. The Quality Improvement also requires that I have these and a training plan. I record what courses staff go on, but I could do with a few ideas of how to lay a CPD form out. Thanks

Just renewing our insurance through the PSLA and umming and ahhing about professional indemnity cover. We haven't got it at the moment, and if we took it up it would double the cost of our premium from £400+ to £800+. Now we can possibly afford this, this year, but maybe not next - you know? Plus it's £400 wasted each year that I could have used for something else. We have public liability cover. Does everyone else have it? Are your premiums all this high?

Our church pre-school is not in great shape.. a practically non-existent committee, tax problems almost sorted but hanging over our heads, complete lack of consideration for our needs within the hall, about to lose our garden to building work and not enough use of hall to offer extra services, 15 hour funding or fundraising events.. the list goes on. I took it over 2 years ago and although we have turned it round from almost closing I have a dream of running our own small pre-school/daycare elsewhere. I have 3 staff and they are all keen for us to stick together as we are such a fanstastic team (which is what keeps us going, and me loving my job). My thoughts are findin…

I know once the ISA kicks in (possibly in October 09??) everyone will need to be vetted before they start work, paid or unpaid, whether they are working under supervision or not. But at the moment, can staff still start work and we process the CRB application whilst they work under supervision? thanks, A

HELP. We are in a local village hall, where we have been for 4 years. We have been asking for a contract for over a year now so that we can formalise our aggreement with the hall. They have finally come up with a 'regular users contract' which I do not feel covers us very well. They want to put 1months notice either side etc. does any one have a contact that they could show me so that I can explain to them that I need to be treated differently then the gardening club, ballet and WI !!! I will try to post the contract for all to see. Ant suggestions most greatfully received. Lardylady

My husband runs a parent toddler group at the school I teach. It's lovely group and parents have donated the toys etc themselves. It is now needing to replace toys but the school is unable to offer storage so money saved for toys is needing to go towards storage. I was wondering if anyone knew where he might be able to apply to get funds for equipment etc cheers cherry

Hi everyone, I will be interviewing a level 3 finally! after advertising for nearly a term. Has/Is anyone else found/finding it hard to attract level 3's? are we short of level 3's? Tomorrow I have a young lady visiting our Nursery and she will be staying for the duration of the session to observe how we operate and for me to show her the paper work I would like her to do ie; Children's home diaries and their profile books. Does anyone out there have a list of interview questions that they could share with me?. Thank you in advance.
