Ofsted Report For Parents
by Guest- 6 replies

Last week we received our full Ofsted Report and I am now trying to figure out exactly what should go to the parents in printed form. Previously, we used to run off the Summary Document and the full document was available on request, at a small charge. Now there are no summaries am I obliged to give each family a copy of the full document? Its lengthy and therefore costly to produce. What if I put a copy of the full document in a file with a circulation list and a note saying if you would like you own copy please let me know...... Would this fit the bill. At the moment a copy is up on the wall for all to see as well. All comments gratefully received!

Hi Our committee have overhauled the way we do the wages which should hopefully make things simpler. Previously we have calculated number of sesssions worked over a four month period, with the staff pay being the same for those 4 months and any adjustments made at the end of the period. We are now forecasting sessions over the year to give a monthly wage with adjustements made monthly. I would dearly love to see how others manage this. Our old system is so complicated, I'd like to start afresh so was hoping you guys would be very kind and download your system for collecting and recording and passing on this information. I collate the information to give …

I have had to simmer down a little before posting this but would really appreciate your views on the following as I am still seething... We had a visit from Ofsted earlier this week with the final grading being pronounced "good" in all areas. Now, whilst good is still "good" I have to say this came as a surprise to us as our ELP has expected us to reach an outstanding and I certainly felt that all areas had improved enormously since the last inspection when we had "v. good" in all areas! What is concerning me more than anything is that the inspector has asked me to extend our " New entrant Finding out" form for 2 year olds so that parents can respond to qu…

I need some help / advice!! I have lost an excellent member of staff from the baby room and since she went 2 new people have joined us, but I'm hearing from other staff that things are not being done as they should be, there's lots of chat and not much action! obviously i'm concerned, but when I go in there for any amount of time, the staff concerned behave completely differently so i'm not getting a true picture of what's happening, has anyone else had this kind of problem or can you offer advice?

I know this is a sensitive area needing a lot of respect for confidentiality. I just wondered if anyone else has been involved in completing a CAF form and how you have found it? Without going into specifics, obviously. Just completed my first and awaiting developments!
