Non Payment Of Fees

Sadly I have had to follow legal procedings due to a parents non payment of fees. Just wondering if anyone else has used the online service for small claims? The parent left in summer term owing £70, then returned in the Autumn term ( child entitled to funding). I have been asked why did I take her back, well maybe because I'm soft, but really because the child is needy of the place. I gave mum the option of only attending for the 2.5 hrs funded time but she wanted to attend our full 3 hr session, so now she owes me another £100.80 for this term I sent her a letter saying I would have to take legal action if payment was not made, I've pointed out the need for me to …

We normally give out questionnaires to parents every 6 months in order to review the service we provide, generally receiving positive comments I was thinking about giving new parents a questionnaire after a month of attending with us to check that we are fulfilling their requirements. Does anyone else do this? I was thinking of questions such as: Did you find our prospectus helpful? Did your first visit to the nursery meet your expectations? Were you happy with the information given to you when enrolling your child? Did you feel the trial sessions were beneficial to your child? Do you know which member(s) of staff to approach to discover information …

Re: Treasurer Troubles (again) 1 2

Ok so I'll begin whereI left off (ish). My committee are new and heve their 1st meeting tomorrow (bless, I hope I don't frighten them away). The treasurer still wants to be paid a wage and inorder for this to happen he would have to become our 'financial assistant' and leave the committee. The name of 'treasurer' would be taken by another member of the committee (in name only-bit dodgy if you ask me). He is asking for the same hourly wage as a level3 member of staff would get and for 10 hours a week! He stated he works for 60 hours a month from home at the mo and we're only open 5 sessions a week. However, we will be paying a trained administrator who…

Hello first time leaving an enquiry but i'm sure someone can help. Have recently been promoted to Foundation Co-Ord and moved to nursery from reception. We are beginning to introduce the new EYFS and also take on board observational planning, encouraging independent learning. Problem is SMT they want stats and % of value added,( previous teacher used ASPECTS- but i don't find them useful at all and SMT have agreed to let that go but at a cost) have looked at so many posts but don't seem to find an answer that would satisfy the head- any ideas/discussions welcome.

Hi, does anyone have the 'right' letters to offer an applicant a job (as an assistant in a pre-school) and one to inform other applicants they haven't been successful? This is the first time i have done this and i'm stumped as to what to write! I have been lucky enough to work with the same team for 7 years so never needed to until now!! Thank you.

Hi Just a quick question. We are advertising for a cleaner for our setting. Would you stipulate that a CRB check is necessary? My feeling is yes even though the applicant would not usually come into contact with children, there might be the odd occasion when they did? I am Mrs Cautious though! Also do you pay your cleaner holiday pay? Again I believe the answer is yes, isn't every employee entitled to HP? Am checking answers for our Chair.
