Hello all, We are currently thinking about the possibility of a bank staff scheme, this would give providers the ability to access staff at short notice or for short periods of time to cover illness/holidays or increased take up of places without going through the full recruitment process. Is anybody aware of any LA's around the country operating or piloting a bank staff scheme, that I could talk to?

Has anyone heard anything from their MP or secretary of state education. To be honest I'm getting disheartened as the majority of replies I'm getting from playgroups , nurseries etc are all saying they treat their NNEBs as level 3 already and hold them in very high regard. What is wrong with mine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all, I am currently in the process of choosing some Nursery Management software to replace the very time-consuming manual processes we are now using. I'm finding it difficult to choose between the various products on the market and wondered whether anyone here has had experience of one or more of them and can provide me with some pointers or recommendations. Thanks for your help! Tom

Having just waved bye to 4 children moving on to school I have once again faced the dilemma of exactly what records to copy and retain. You may have heard that at a future date we can be sued for not picking up a child's special needs, I think even when that child is 21 years old! I know this is a huge subject - we are all aware that special needs might not manifest themselves in a child until they are older or cannot be picked up until a later stage of development (eg dyxlexia). I would love to hear what records you copy and retain (with parental permission of course!). Does the liability remain with the practitioner or the setting? I imagine that in 21 years I will…
