Every year, when our electricity contract is nearing its end, I get lots of calls. They say they are calling about our current electricity account but in reality they are brokers, trying to get me to sign up to different suppliers. They are incredibly deceitful, using very carefully chosen words so that you think they are from your current supplier. They talk very quickly in a way that makes it sound like you have already agreed to things and that they are just verifying everything. It sounds silly, but I find this very stressful. I feel misled and duped. It makes me feel foolish and unable to manage what should be a simple procedure. It is so time consuming an…

Malicious complaint

Feeling so cross right now. We received a letter from Ofsted a couple of weeks ago following a complaint and another today. It is very clear to me that it from an ex member of staff. She didn't leave on bad terms but things didn't go completely her way and this is the result. As childcare providers we are so open to this type of malicious behaviour from disgruntled staff and also from parents who owe money etc.... Ofsted are not visiting - they just said they would follow it up on our next inspection and to keep a note of it but it is so demoralising for the team. Anyone else had this?

We are a packaway setting which we do each day and as you are aware there is a lot to pack away, we would like the children to help us and as this is also in the EYFS we would like to make it fun, Can anyone share what they do to make this less stressful for staff and children, I am thinking maybe some kind of music so the children will understand after a while that when the music plays it is time for us to pack away. I am thinking that the song needs to just play music otherwise the children will be distracted and concentrate more o…

Hi Can anyone tell me if I can find documentation on how to use EYPP? Are there any scenarios of settings that show how they have spent it. Just trying to get my head around what to do with it and what evidence I need to produce to show impact. Thanks ?
