Hi Everyone We are currently wondering where to keep staff mobile phones as the staffroom will not be in use in September. I wondered if any settings had come up with a plan so that staff could access their phone during the day but would still comply with safeguarding needs. Thank you

We are a tiny pre-school with only 4 staff and now only 16 children!! Our deputy supervisor has just handed her notice in so we are now down to three staff, which is fine with the amount of children we have each day. A couple of questions..... Does our committee need to carry out an exit interview? if so are there templates for these? Can the deputy supervisor role be split between two staff, so a named deputy each day. Can a named deputy supervisor be a level 2 but with 10 years experience/service in our setting?

Hi Everyone We recently had a Fire Risk Assessment carried out and one of the requirements was for us to label the fire doors 'Firs doors - Keep Closed'. Two of these doors are the ones that are usually kept open to enable our free flow inside/outside. Obviously I am now worried that holding these doors open will go against the 'Keep closed' sign on them. Has anyone else has this issue and if so can you let me know what you do? Thank you!

Hi all I'm in a bind, hoped someone can help. Been having lots of problems with my catering company lately such as missing diatery meals or getting orders wrong. Then last week was the last straw. We opened that days tea container only to find 2 foreign objects lying directly on the food. I couldn't believe my eyes. So now I need someone new. Can anyone suggest a catering company that delivers fresh daily food other then Zebedees or yum Yum as they are expensive and we are a small independant nursery. We are based in London Thank you in advance

I applied for our setting to be an early adopter of the revised EYFS curriculum from September 2020. The deadline was the 14th February and I was wondering whether any other settings had applied, and whether or not they had received any communication to inform them of success. I have tried to email the link on the .gov page to see whether we are on the list, however the link is no longer working. We are looking at our curriculum and before any changes are made for September, we need to know whether or not we have the go ahead. Also I want to be able to let new parents know which ELGS we are working towards. If anybody has a contact number/ email to get the info we need th…

My lovely payroll services Lady is retiring in April (lucky her) I am now trying to find someone to do this role for me within my budget!! Not easy so far! I am wondering if anyone on here does this job themselves and if so, how easy is it, what do I need to do etc? i am not at all tec minded and it would need to be simple and automatic - (no working out)! I only have 5 staff so not too much work I hope. Any suggestions ( thought of retiring myself but not yet feasible) on how I could trial it?.... Thank you
