Airport Role-play....

Hi, After half term the role play area is going to become an airport (indoors), I was just wondering if anyone could help me as it's my first time planning for an area of enhanced provision (Im a student at uni on my 7 week block placement). Also outside the practitioner wants it to be 'loosely under the sea' theme running alongside the airport thing, any ideas/suggestions on either of these would be of great help. Thank you

hi i work in a playgroup on a traveller's site with children aged 2-5 yrs. most of the children when they leave us at 5 do not go to school, so i suggested to leader the older children could start to learn to write there name. she replied ' no point most of the parents cant read or write, it would be a waste of time. personally i dont agree with this. anyone else working with gypsy children. thanks alison

Hello everyone, I know I should be worrying about my profiles for my Reception children, which I am ... a lot, but am so worried about my teaching. I am doing Transport this half term and I really struggle with setting out independent activities. While I'm doing my focus group activities I really need the other children to be focused on their independent activities, which they're not!
