Behaviour Policy - Under 3's

am in process of reviewing our setting policies - our behaviour policy is based on the school's behaviour policy with specific reference to how this is put into practice in the foundation stage. We now run sessions for 2-3year olds and I would be interested to see any policies relating specifically to this age group or have any comments about specific points that need to be personalised for this age group. many thanks nsunshine.

Hi, my first post! I am the Nursery Teacher in a Primary School, a grateful parent has just donated a large black plastic cold water feed tank to Nursery ( She wanted to give us something to say thank you and I suggested large plastic pots for gardening, ) It's too big really to put soil in, but I had this idea it would make a great pond, with maybe some fish, It's about 1.3m long by 80cm wide and about 80cm deep. Obviously I would have a mesh cover over it, and the Nursery garden is fenced, so no children would be in there unsupervised. Apart from hand washing and good supervision when we are looking at the pond are there other health and safety issues I need to be awar…

hi i was wondering if anyone uses the preschool alliance policies. I am putting together my policies and have purchased their book. Not sure if some of them look a little long winded I would like some thing simple for the parents to read. Has anyone go any examples or do you think I need the long version.

Hi Do you stipulate a notice period for parents to give before they leave your setting? Just wondered if anybody has a policy statement you could share with me. Thanks

Hi everyone.. i am fully aware this is dreadful of me to try and quickly seek answers .... have had a quick scan though past posts surrounding bereavement and dealing with a death. But my biggest favour is if any of you kind souls could drop me any hints or words of wisdom. I work in an early years unit and a child in Reception suddenly lost her dad on saturday. She has not been in school all week but is due to return 2maro morning at 9.30 because she has said she would like to see her friends. Before she arrives her mum would like us to talk to our classes about what has happened.. I have never had to deal with somethin like this before and the more i thin…
