Ok, yet again have come through another complaint which has not been upheld. some may remember a parent who accused us of not changing a nappy when she did not notice herself child was soiled, we are convinced he was not when he left us! we filled in all paperwork despite her protest to keep it informal and she did not want a formal record made.....just as well.... 1 week later she then accused a member of staff of 'hurting her child' when we did change them.... As an expert in dealing with complaints these days, went into the overdrive of calling , Ofsted, early years social sevices etc, recording, witness statements, etc etc. I spent all day on the phone o…

Hi I wondered if you could give me some advice to what the qualification requirements are going to be in 2010. Am i right in thinking that Supervisors will need to be a 4. Can anybody tell me where i can find information on this as we would like to be prepared for when the new regulations come into place so start training now if its needed. We are also thinking of taking on a new deputy so wondered what qualifications they would need to have by then, any help much appreciated. Thankyou.

Update Ofsted's new address and phone n…

A lot of the (wrapped) bandages etc in our first aid box are out of date. Do we replace them - I guess the answer is yes to cover ourselves? Probably cheaper to buy new box!

Outcomes Link

How does everyone link their policies and procedures and operational plan to the 5 outcomes? Do you think we will all need to revamp with EYFS? I find this all confusing as trying to do new operational plan as part of degree, having to undertake accreditation through NDNA and LEA want us to prepare for Foundations For Quality. I feel I am getting buried under paperwork and going round in circles and just duplicating work in different formats. Is it just me? Or am I making too much of it. Tell me it is not just me and how you have sorted it
