Safeguarding Folder Checks

Hi. I am currently doing the checklist I was given for our Safeguarding file and one of the things to tick off is that we have confirmation from outside agencies or other professionals that visit our setting of their CRB checks etc. Does anyone do this as I can't see that we have ever done this so I can't tick it off. I suppose if we have an EYA coming in we should have one for her from the council with whom she is employed?

Here is the scenario I am trying to deal with, I have a 2 year old whose mother has mental health issues which include very low self esteem and self worth and an inability to cope with some everyday situations, we allow her to drop off and pick up early so that she doesn't have to deal with other parents as she is unable to deal with groups of people. At the end of last term she had a couple of occasions where she came to collect her child distressed and I had to take her to my office to calm down before we handed over her son so he didn't see her getting upset. She has been very open in discussing her problems and has ssid that she appreciates being able to talk to me …

We have previously adapted the pre-school learning alliance policies and procedures to meet the requirements of our setting. Has anyone else used these? How have you/do you plan to change the key themes and commitments section to match the new eyfs? Hope that makes sense.

this could be a bit of a long shot but has anyone done an action plan on how they will introduce/roll out the new framework and or the new ofsted guidence. we have ofsted due I thought instead of just using training note and meeting notes to evidence this it would be easier to do an action plan, I thought that someone may already have done a format that I could run with or give me some tips. sue

I have been asked to update our safeguarding oilicy to ensure that it specifically includes " examples of adults' behaviour which might be signs of abuse and neglect" . I suspect this is in light of the Plymouth nursery case. I have googled, but can't find specific examples of adults behaviour as required. Can anyone help me out here? Many thanks in advance

Does anyone have an emergency plan as part of their Safeguarding Policy? At safeguarding training this was recommended, to cover situations like drunk parent trying to collect child or harming child in front of staff or parent without responsibility trying to collect. I have had a search around but can't seem to find anything to base it on. Any ideas?

Right after updating SEF, looking at so many examples of planning on these forums and already spending over 30 hours unpaid updating paperwork. I now need to make policies to cover E safety and one for staff coming in to work after they have taken drugs and had some alcohol. Please has anyone got an example that I could look at as I have tried for over an hour now to write one but keep going around in circles with what to include.
