Our Equal opportunities policy includes the following We work in accordance with all relevant legislation, including, o Care standards act 2000 o Disabled Persons Acts 1958,1986 o Race Relations Act 2003 o Sex Discrimination Act 1986, 2005 o Children Act 1989, 2004 o Equal Pay Act 1970 o Disability discrimination Act 1995 o Human rights act 1998 o Education Act 2002 o Special Educational Needs revised code of practise 2002 o Race Equality Act 2000 o Have I missed any and are there any more recent updates I should include. What is everybodies policy on plasters - do you use a constent form? ATM we ring parents if we want to use a plaster, but its timeconsuming. We already ask parents for allergies on entry.

Hi everyone, Just wondered if anyone could help me? Can anyone tell me any companies that do in house Paediatric first aid training?. All our staff including myselfs certificates run out in November and the college we did it at 3 years ago no longer does the course. Ps I am from the Leeds area in West Yorkshire Thanks Clare

Hi - we currently cover all our sockets when not in use > Today we had a visit from our landlady and she , in passing, mentioned that she had been made aware of the dangers of using socket covers> I have googled this and yes there are several reasons why they are dangerous _ do you all use them or not ?????

Hi A parent dropped by today to ask if we would like him to bring in his ferret to show the children. He had it on him and it looked really rather sweet! I am in two minds. On the one hand this is parent partnership in action, we live in a rural area and this is a way of life, part of our culture one might say. On the other hand there may be a risk a child could get bitten unless I specifically stipulate not touching. I would love to hear your opinions.
