Hi Have recently extended from sessional to full daycare. Am finding the 7.30 - 9am and 4-5pm times outside the normal session hours challenging. As these sessions are "care " not education based was wondering how other nurseries manage these times. Suggestions on structure and activities would be much appreciated. We have a main room and baby room only as we are a small setting. Am trying to use the baby room for these times so they have time away from the main room. Activities, structure, toys etc ideas would be gratefully received. Sally

Hi everyone, I am currently setting up new starter packs for parents and would like to include a letter about Child Protection and Safeguarding children. We currently have very good policies in place that our parents read, however before I give them to new parents, i would like to give them a summary and give them information about what they can do to help also. (contact numbers etc) Do any of you already do this? or am i just creating more paperwork to make my mountain larger and my TO Do list even longer? Many thanks for your help Z x

Could you tell me how often do you get your electrical items tested? My Ealy Years dept say it should be yearly - my Landlord says every 3 yrs. When you look on the internet there are varying times depending on what the items are. How often do you do it?

It was pointed out to me during a Suitable Person Interview that it is considered good practice to ask the staff to complete a health questionnaire at the time of their annual performance review....... Also to include whether they have had any criminal convictions since the previous review. Does anyone have something like this that they use and wouldn't mind sharing?

Hi I did a search but came up with nothing! Is there a lone working policy I could use as a guide anywhere please? Does anyone state in their collection of children policy what will happen if the adult who has come to collect the child is intoxicated and deemed unsuitable to take the chidl home? I'm trying to make sure we are covered while I have time! Thanks
