Hi Does anyone have an example of a long term medication form? We have one child who requires medication 4 times a day? And another child who will need a cathater (sorry terrible spelling) changing everytime he attends the setting? (which will be twice per week). We have the short term form but it doesnt really cover things like the above! Thank you jx

Hi quick question cos im getting a bit confused. When reporting a concern who do you first report to childrens care services or LSCB? Our policy seems to imply LSCB. If you have filled out a cause for concern form do you have to report it or is it just a record for monitoring? Thnaks

Hi, Does anyone have any experience of having a 2 year old with a cochlear implant in their setting? I obviously have to make a risk assessment before this child starts with us with regard to both the safety and wellbeing of the child and his implant. He will have a dedicated support worker but he's inevitably going to get involved in some gentle rough and tumble, running, climbing, etc. I want him to have as much freedom as possible without running the risk of damaging the implant.

I don't know if you all know but I was pulled up on this and actually got it as an action. the inspector said you HAVE to have in your policies that after any serious incident or accident you will not only notify ofsted but you MUST also notify the child protection agency. Did anyone else know this, maybe it was just me who didn't though

The inspector today asked what would happen if a member of staff was ill suddenly, I was fine explaining that but then she asked what if the staff member was a level 3 (we only have 2 level 3's and we have 2 rooms) I explained to her that I had spoken to ofsted about it and they had said that in an emergency the staff member working towards a level 3 could take their place - well the inspector wasn't happy with this and said we need an action plan written down, I said I would do one tonight to show her tomorrow. well my brain is slightly shot to bits so i can't get the right words down on paper, can you tell me what you think of this please? Our setting is run…
