Can anyone help (Pleease!!) We are updating our policies and are not sure about the line in our that says after----we have a duty to contact social services and OFSTED Early Years? Can anyone tell me how long it is that you would wait before contacting social services if a parent/carer does not return to collect their child.(having exhausted all the usual channels of course!) Thanks. Biker

Informing Ofsted Policy

At our recent staff meetings we have gone through the statutory framework for the EYFS looking at where we may have gaps. We noticed that where OFSTED needed to be informed of changes etc. failure to do so would be an offence. As a result we have put together an Informing OFSTED policy which may be useful to you. It may also put minds at rest as to just what we need to ring them up for. Linda Informing_OFSTED_policy.doc

A big thank you to you all at the FSF. I've been using this site for a while now and it has improved my practise in a big way. I had my first ofsted this week and it has been a really tricky one as we are an ISP school so were under scruntiny in a big way. It has been a real battle and i have had to really fight my corner, with the support from my collegues and Head. i have also flagged up this website to the LEA advisors who i have been working with this year (v surprised that some did'nt know about this site!). But if it wasnt for all you guys out there i would'nt have had all the info and ideas i've had to improve my practise so a big thank you for being out there as w…

We are going to be running several parent courses etc on site that we want to provide creche facilities for those attending the courses. What paperwork do we need? What procedures etc do we need to follow? Our centre does not have daycare on site and although I know about daycare standards and thier inclusion into the EYFS I am not sure what the expectations and regulations are for providing creches on your own site with staff who are employed already at the centre? Can anyone help, and be kind enough to let me see examples of records, policies etc please???
