I have been called for a second interview for the position of Senior Nursery Worker for the Foundation Stage in a Day Nursery. This time I have to do a 30 minute activity with the children. I don't know how many children - I am presuming it may be the whole group (about 18) with help. I have to take in weekly plans which include my activity plan. The theme for this activity has to be 'Festivals'. Does anyone have any helpful ideas on what I could do please? The nursery is run by the PLA / Sure Start but most of the children would be of white British origin. They are aged 3/4.

Eid - Arabic Font

Evening all, I've just hit a stumbling block with planning Eid activites for next week, I have the usual prayer mat, mendhi hands, stars and moons, even going to try baking- either sweets or biscuits. What I would like to do is give the children the opportunity to try writing in arabic, by tracing over a font, however I'm totally confused by the amount of fonts you can download. Does anyone have any idea which one I should/could be using. Or indeed if there are any new Eid ideas out there. Thanks in advance XX

After half term we're planning a very general theme on "Parties and Celebrations" - we thought it had a nice PSE focus for the new children and there are also a lot of different cultural celebrations that we can explore with the children, e.g. Diwali, Eid, Hanukkah....and of course Christmas! Has anybody got any good ideas for activities?
