We are going to let the children dress up (we have a nursery uniform so more of a treat)....girls in lots of jewellery, hats, long dresses etc, boys will be holding a big heart and bunch of flowers. will take their photo and then next day, friday, we have invited all the mums in for a special mums day. they will decorate a frame round their child's photo, have sandwiches and cakes together and watch the lovely song on the children in need dvd that pewter kay did for his mum. then we are having a raffle, cos all mums like raffles. maybe a children raffle. then go home.

Hi guys I am desperate for some inspiration!!! Each year we have an Easter Bonnet Parade- it's lovely. The kids make hats at home and the parents come in to watch them parade outside (weather permitting) - we have prizes for the best hats (child's own work) and then offer refreshments etc... but I would really like to have some music on in the background... Does anyone have any suggestions of some nice music - doesn't have to be Easter themed, but something that the children could move to whilst parading in their hats.... Thanks

Hi Just a quick question. We are going to do mothers day cards this week. Do you get the children to do the same card each, something that has been decided by staff. Or do you let the children do their own designs. The same goes for Easter cards. Thank you. Dorinda

Has anyone got any wonderful activitiy ideas for black history month? So far we have planned....... x An interest table with african/ carribean artefacts and pictures etc... x Tye dyeing t-shirts with african colours/ patterns x Looking at fruits/ food and animals that are african/ carribean x Making a dream quilt- we will be talking to the children (3-5yrs) about Martin luther king and that he had a dream that everyone was friends no matter of their skin colour. We will then be asking the children to write or draw something they dream about then putting them all together to make a quilt!!
