Hi all Wanted to make some (or rather decorate) some biscuits or sweets around the theme of snow to fit in with the current weather. Thought I would perhaps cover some maltesers with icing sugar and perhaps some coconut. Haven't thought too much about it. Has anyone any ideas. Difficult to melt chocolate as no kitchen but microwave in staffroom! All thoughts gratefully accepted!

Hi all, I am sure that i have read on the site about someone taking the children on a expadition (sp) to Antartica. i am thinking of doind this tomorrow. We have an igloo that i will put at the back of the grounds and trek to find it. We could draw maps before or after, we could make a kit list of thigs we would need. We will make igloos with ices cubes? What else could we do i just can't think- oh ad we will take binoculars with us and we will look for polar animals (that i have printed out and stuck on sticks) thanks in advace. Natasha

My children had a lovely time today with ice cube play, i used 6 bowls and filled them with ice cubes and lots of plastic sea creatures and shells, the children loved it, we also added blue and yellow food colourings to show them how when mixed they would change colour! one little boy didnt move all morning, playing only with the ice! not really sure what had happened to all the water as there wasnt alot of mess, i suspect they sucked on alot of ice!!

I am going to start a Winter/water/snow type topic next week. My children have been talking about Ice Age 2, so i thought this may be a good angle to come at it from. Has anyone got any ideas for activites that i can do linked to this film?
