Hiya as it is time for tranistions and moving on I was just wondering if anyone can share ideas experiences of any particular circle time activites. My children are in nursey and will be moving up to reception. So far i thought we could have a circle time and share our thoughts about going to recpetion e.g feeling scared, excited. We can address any worries the children have. Just wondering if there are any stories etc? Sunai

Hi, has anyone done art work with nursery children following a painting related to water. Done a google search and not inspired. Also done Monet and water lilies before that worked well.

I am trying to think of something a little different for my role play area related to the Olympics. I would like to set up a TV/Weather Studio for them to report the events of the Olympics and look at the weather etc. Any suggestions on what resources I could add or get them to make? I have thought of headsets/video cameras/desk for presenting! Any other ideas please?

I talked with the children before Christmas and got some starting points - caves as homes, scary caves, animals that live in caves and we have a great (I hope - never been there before) planned. I would like to read them some stories that include caves in some way - just to branch out a little but the only two I can come up with so far are: We're going on a Bear Hunt The Gruffalo's child We love Bear Hunt and it gets 'done' at the start of most of our PE lesso…

We are going to have an olympic week at our setting. I was wondering if anyone has any fresh idea's regarding PE activities. We are a bit bored of the same old thing such as throwing bean bags into nets etc. We need 'countable' activities such as how many times they could bounce a ball in 1 minute. It would be nice to have something a bit more exciting ! Thanks
