I am currently puting together a staff training file for PSRN in early years and came across this site, I thought I would share it here, as it has some really great planning ideas http://earlyyearsmaths.e2bn.org/resources_113.html That can be incorporated within the continuos provision and so not interrupt the flow of children's play

Ict And Healthy Eating
by Guest- 3 replies

Hi, does anyone have any good ICT resources to do with healthy eating that can be used with Nursery? Our Nursery class is having a 'healthy eating' session where each child will bring 1 parent to come and do lots of activities. It will be based in a computer room so I need lots of things to keep them busy. I do have a few non-ICT activities for those parents who just hate computers! Any ideas would be most grateful. I can find lots for Y1 upwards but not many for Early Years. They must think we don't use computers. Thanks Vicky

WOW must share our week so far!! The children (mainly the boys!!!) have cut and stuck, painted and drawn, written and read, sang and listened beautifully. They have worked together and shared thinking and solved problems, relayed all their news from pre-school at home, brought their creations back into pre-school the next day to continue their play. Learnt about being kind and not hitting or hurting their peers! So what have we done ? SUPERHEROS!! MASKS BADGES WATCHES MADE OUR OWN SUPERHERO FOR THE WALL MADE UP SUPERHERO RULES MADE UP SONGS AND STORIES AND RHYMES We will definatly be revisiting this fantastic topic Andrea

Hey Calling all Early Years workers. I am looking for New Nursery Rhymes to sing with my children. We fed up of the same old boring rhymes. Any will help as long as they are fun and the children and staff enjoy singing them. My age group is 2-5 year olds Thanks x x x x
