Hi all - Here's another article on recent proposals to change ratios, from Toby Helm and Yvonne Roberts in the Observer. They're coming thick and fast at the moment aren't they? Might be best to collect them into one article. In the article they mention this Government e-petition by the Pre-School Learning Alliance's Neil Leitch. As I'm sure you know, if it gets 100,000 signatures it will force a debate.

Thanks to Kirsty who posted this on the FSF facebook page, Cathy Nutbrown has written for Nursery World to give her response to More Good Childcare. The NW article is here: http://www.nurserywo...hildcare-plans/ Her full paper 'Shaking the Foundations of Quality?' is here: http://www.shef.ac.u...nsofquality.pdf It makes very interesting reading: in her full paper she lists each of her recommendations and shows the Government's response to it. I'd say she's pretty cross! :angry:

News of another consultation that launches today; Consultation on proposed changes to the role of the local authority in early education and childcare Today the Government launches a six week consultation exercise setting out proposals for a changed role for local authorities in the delivery of funded early education for two, three and four-year-olds.
