Stop - don't go home for Christmas! Nursery World has just reported that a further 'short' consultation will be issued (probably next week) after your responses to the EYFS consultation earlier this year. The new consultation, according to NW, 'will look at specific aspects of the revised framework, and will be published alongside the Government's official response to the EYFS consultation'. So, not time to relax yet then!

cannot find this on here..apologies if it has been posted before or is in the wrong place... Professor Cathy Nutbrown has been asked by the Minister of State for Children and Families, Sarah Teather MP, to conduct an independent review into qualifications in the early education and childcare sector. As a first step in her review, Professor Nutbrown would like to hear the views of parents and families, and all those involved in the delivery of early education and childcare. The Ofsted annual report is now available here Some interesting key findings: * The proportion of early years providers judged as good or outstanding for overall effectiveness increased from 68% to 74%. Evening everybody, Was wondering what yuo have in you book corners that is enticing your little ones in. Currently i am in reception and i have noticed that it is not being used as much as other areas. We have lovely seats, books displayed, teddies in tere to read to. Id love to hear what others are doing to entice them in. maybe story sacs would be a good one? xxxxx
